On our last night we dressed for the Captain’s Dinner because You CAN’T wear shorts, t-shirts, cut-offs, tank tops, jeans or fit flops. For most nights, the dress code will be casual. This is what you’d wear to your favorite “casual” restaurant, such as sun dresses, a casual dress, casual pants such as khakis or cargo pants (but not jeans), skirt and top, or a pants outfit. Twenty years after the ship’s maiden voyage from Singapore, the 51,309-ton luxurious vessel named the SuperStar Aquarius anchored at Pier 4 of the said harbour in Manila, Philippines. The capital city is one of the key stops of the SuperStar Aquarius during her 6 day – 5 night cruise that started in Hong Kong on October 31, voyaged to Boracay on November 3, and will ultimately go ashore at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Which was our route by the way.

During our trip aboard the SuperStar Aquarius part of our itinerary was to dock in Boracay for 8 hours.We were part of history as they made an inaugural call at Boracay for the first time last November 4, en route to its new homeport in Kota Kinabalu, the city capital of Sabah, Malaysia.

The 51,309-tonne cruise liner brought more than 1,100 Taiwanese,Hong Kong,Australia and Southeast Asian passengers fromKaohsiung,Taiwanto Boracay after her successful first call to Manilal ast Saturday November 2.
We received warm welcome from the Provincial Government of Aklan,MunicipalityofMalay, Philippine Department of Tourism and the media amid a traditional Boracay Ati-atihan performance put on by locals in vibrant costumes.
Philbert and Kuya Ariel went to the market to buy fish and shrimps for lunch
Philbert and Kuya Ariel had their Henna Tattoos done. The Henna artists listened to them and made unique designs that suited them perfectly. They provided good instructions so that the designs would last.
While I was waiting for them I just sat there and admired this view..
But for me the best part of my trip is my time spent with Philbert. Because traveling with my husband makes me appreciate the life we already have. I love travelling with him he’s so organized, knows how to unpack and pack a suitcase and most of all he go with you and eat in a restaurant that he doesn’t like just because you want to try something different for breakfast.
I’m always very excited when I go home to Dipolog. We went home last July because Grishan (my sister) Michael (her husband) and Brox ( my nephew) were in town for a vacation. Usually we would stay in Camila Hotel but this time Papa said we would stay in D’ Hotel.. Continue reading
